Machine wiring for industrial automation

We wire the machine itself, to international standards and to the North American NFPA79 requirements.

Machine wiring is where most of the mess accumulates: unmarked cables, improvised routing, sensors connected with no documentation. Years later, when the machine stops, that mess costs hours of downtime.

We wire machines the same way we build panels: planned routing, every conductor individually marked, and as-built schematics handed over with the machine.

We work either in our own workshop, on machines delivered to us, or at the machine builder's premises or directly on site.

NFPA79 compliance for the United States and Canada

Machinery destined for North America must comply with NFPA79 — Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery, which diverges from European practice on several points: conductor colours, disconnecting means, control-circuit protection, nameplates and markings.

We know these differences because we have been building UL certified panels since 2007. If the machine is for export we can wire it compliant from the start, rather than reworking it after the first inspection.

Frequently asked questions

How does NFPA79 differ from European wiring practice?

The main differences concern conductor colours, control-circuit protection criteria, disconnecting means and information nameplates. A machine wired to European practice alone is normally challenged during US inspection.

Can you wire machines at our premises?

Yes. We work in our own workshop, at the machine builder's site or on the final installation, in Italy and abroad.

Do you supply the control panel together with the machine wiring?

In most cases yes: designing panel and machine wiring together avoids mismatches between schematic and reality.
